France Telecom Near Agreement to Acquire Congo China Telecom

France Telecom is expected to announce its deal to purchase CCT (Congo China Telecom) soon for approximately 160 million euros (US$219.2 million; US$1=0.73 euro) including debt, Bloomberg reported on September 12, 2011. CCT is a major mobile operator in Congo, jointly owned by Chinese ZTE and the Congolese government. Currently, CCT is 51% owned by ZTE and 49% owned by the Congolese government.
